Seems like LOADS of stuff has happened since I last wrote here (even though it probably hasn’t -it just feels like it coz I’ve had so much work on)
-Its coming to an end though, which is pretty sad but also good… August 6th to be precise! That is the date my ’solo, end of year as artist in resident, look how much work I haven’t done’ show previews. The invites have gone out, infact they’re still going out, so if you haven’t got one and would like to come along get in touch and I’ll send you one. Or you could call in the gallery and get one, OR there’s a facebook event for it here- http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=102497479177&ref=nf
Don’t worry if you can’t make it, the exhibition runs from August the 7th till the 30th. The preview night on the 6th is a chance to see it with free wine haha! Hopefully it’ll be good and you’ll enjoy it. I started the last framed picture today but the boards still aren’t finished -they probably won’t be until Thursday afternoon! X

Check this out http://www.gigposters.com/poster/114936_Revive_Rose_Lee.html this is one of the posters I designed for the excellent Revive Rose Lee while they were on their TT Tour.
I’ve always wanted to put something on Gigposters as there is SO much amazing art on there. Its just awesome to be on the same site with so many of my favourite artists! Its properly made my day! X

I should have posted this up way earlier but hey, I’m useless as you know. I recently did a bit of work for a band called Revive Rose Lee (who are awesome) you can check them out here www.myspace.com/reviveroselee -go listen and say nice things about them -they’ll like that.
Anyway, its the last date of their TT tour tonight at The Railway in Douglas so if you’ve read this in time and are about tonight, head over and have some fun! X

looks pretty weird but it tastes just fine… Er, yeah can’t remember how the rest of that song goes. Just a quick update to say the new Alcohol prints are back in stock at the gallery. Hooray!
Its something about the borderline… I’ll get back to you.

Man. I think I’m getting worse at keeping this site updated! I’ve just uploaded a few new pictures into the Illustrations folder including ‘bleeder’ & ‘keep it together’ and also got rid of some crap to free up some space for more pics!
Although I don’t know when I’ll be adding new stuff coz everything I’m doing from now until August will probably be kept for my show at the Sayle Gallery (and I wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise for any of you… even though you could actually just walk in and see what I’m working on!
Its also the last week of Juan Moores and David Metaxas’ exhibition -Mannerisms. So if you haven’t been down already, come check it out. Its awesome!

I’ve been meaning to write something up here for ages, but you know when you don’t really have that much to tell… I’d probably just ‘blog’ about something stupid like toast or how do birds know to use bird baths and not just puddles or rivers or something??
Anyway. Things are good, the residency at the Sayle Gallery is going well (I think) If you haven’t been in yet you should stop by and say hi. Also, while you’re in, you could see my new prints!
Yes, thats right. I’ve actually got some fancy new prints sorted. Including a new version of ‘Alcohol’. There are 4 other prints available too, so if you’re interested call in and check em out!
Work-wise, its going alright… I’ve got a cool idea for my solo exhibition in August, which, if I can pull off will be ace!
But more on that nearer the time.

Hey friends!
That may be true, but I have an excellent reason for the lack of updates recently! Some of you might know this already, but when the brand spankin’ new Art Gallery opens in Douglas (under the Villa Collenade) yours truly is going to be the new ‘Artist in Residence’ there! It’s going to be fucking awesome. I can’t wait to get in there and get started!
Actually, I kinda have started… thats the reason I haven’t uploaded much new work recently. I did a few pieces last week including ‘black history’ and ‘honey bucket’ that I’ve put up here, but the rest I’ve kept back, coz I have no idea what I’m gonna use down there. The residency is for a year, and at the end of that you get your own solo exhibition so I’m going to have to work my ass off as the place is huge!
Should be fun tho! I’m stoked!
I’m also still working up some prints. I’ve re-done ‘alcohol’ so hopefully that will be available soon along with some others that I’m doing. If you’ve got any wants or requests for prints or you want to commission something give me a shout.

Hey all,
Just a quick note to say the Isle of Man Art Society Autumn Exhibition starts tomorrow. Its being held at Thie Ellyn, which is off Withington Road in Douglas (its kinda inbetween St. Marys School and Murrays Road School …I think?) Anyway, I ‘ve got a few (smallish) pieces in there so if you’re not up to much this weekend you could check it out. It runs from Friday 26th until Sunday 28th September so you haven’t got long.

My spazzy computer strikes again. You may have noticed there are new(ish) galleries in the art section, thats because for some unknown reason the ‘art’ gallery decided to stop working yesterday. It also got rid of all the comments and blocked me from describing them!
So, after a joyous evening of uploading all the pictures again, here we are. I’ve split them into 2 galleries, one of framed pen & ink drawings and the other canvas pieces. Hopefully this’ll free up some space and stop it going doolally again. I’ve also uploaded some new versions of previous pics with a close up section so you can see some detail.
Also, there are the exhibition pictures in BOTH galleries so you can check them out if you never made it down to St. Johns. I’ve got some photos that I took of the exhibition itself so I’ll put them up somewhere soon. Keep em peeled!

Only a few days left to see the exhibition at The Sayle Gallery! So if you haven’t been yet, please pop down to have a look. Hit the road!
